Date:
19-21 November 2010Problem: Recently Ukraine has enjoyed rapid development of youth and student media. Unfortunately mostly they are small and unprofessional projects that do not exist for a long time. The results of the polls show that a large percentage of young people would like to be engaged in journalism or create their own media. But often these dreams can never come true due to the lack of knowledge and experience. At the same time many existing youth editions lacks professionalism and efficient use of resources. Most youth newspapers are based on the enthusiasm. Faculties of journalism offer a course theory, while student press gives practical lessons of journalism.
Another point is that most youth media-projects suffer from censorship or become dependent on certain forces.
The purpose of the event: to unite the youth media community, to improve skills and motivation of young journalists, to exchange experiences in solving journalistic problems and to improve the quality of youth mass media in Ukraine. Youth Media Festival is an annual event that brings together young journalists for joint development of media space. Today's actual topic is also the development of new media, in particular - student new media.
Newspapers of the festival's participants will be original standard for other issues of their region. Members of the youth editorial offices will be more aware of the legal basis of the journalists. During the festival an exchange of information between youth papers of Ukraine will be improved, the famous journalists are to answer the urgent questions of youth. Our festival is a great kick for the active development of youth and student media across the country

It's fair game. And very important is that unlike many other games this game is educational.
